CoolMind vs Jobright: who submits, how you pay, the proof
Comparisons
The short version
CoolMind wrote this comparison, and CoolMind is one of the two tools in it, so read it with that in mind. Everything about Jobright comes from Jobright's own public pages, read on 2026-10-09. We did not sign up for Jobright or try it: this compares what each company publishes, not how the products feel to use. CoolMind's side is how CoolMind works today, as set out on How CoolMind works. CoolMind is not affiliated with Jobright.
Both tools help people apply to jobs in the United States. They differ most in who presses the final submit button, how you are billed, and what you can check once an application has gone.
| Jobright, as listed on 2026-10-09 | CoolMind | |
|---|---|---|
| Who presses submit | You, after its browser extension fills in the form. Its AI Agent is described as "applying for you". | CoolMind, on the employer's own form. You can watch and step in. |
| How you pay | Free to start; the paid plan, Jobright Turbo, is a subscription that renews each billing period until you cancel | One credit for each application the employer confirms, in one-time packs, with no subscription |
| Your résumé | Offers a résumé tailored to each job with AI | Your own file, sent unchanged |
| What you can check afterwards | "every submission is tracked for you" (AI Agent page) | A receipt for each application, by default with a screenshot of the confirmation page and a recording |
| Sponsorship help | H1B job lists with "insights on company sponsorships" | You say once whether you need sponsorship. Some postings are set aside because of their wording, with the reason shown. |
| Language | The pages we read are in English | Chinese or English interface. Applications go out in English. |
Who presses submit
Jobright's autofill page lists four steps: "Install the Autofill Extension", "Set up your profile", "Open a job application site & Click Autofill", and "Submit your application, done!" (Jobright autofill page, as listed on 2026-10-09). A browser extension fills in the form in your own browser, and the final click is yours, so you get a last look at every answer before it reaches the employer.
Jobright also offers an AI Agent, which its page says works by "proactively matching roles, customizing your resume, and applying for you" (Jobright AI Agent page, as listed on 2026-10-09). We found no statement on Jobright's public pages, as of that date, about which employers' sites the Agent submits on, or whether each application waits for your OK first. If that matters to you, ask Jobright before you subscribe.
CoolMind fills in and submits the employer's own application form for you, in one of two modes you choose. On Full auto, jobs that clear your bar go straight out. On I'll review, nothing is sent until you say yes. While an application is being filled in, you can watch it live and step in, for example to finish a verification step; closing the window doesn't stop it. Where an employer's site needs an account, CoolMind creates one, or signs in, with the email your applications give (by default your own CoolMind address, which forwards what employers send to your inbox; connecting Gmail instead is optional) and the one employer-site password you set.
How you pay
Jobright's paid plan is Jobright Turbo. Its refund and cancellation policy says Turbo subscriptions "renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the next renewal date", and that "The price, billing period, and amount due are shown before purchase." Jobright's terms list billing periods that "may include weekly, monthly, quarterly, six-month, or other billing periods" (Jobright terms of service, last updated July 29, 2026). Jobright's own pricing address showed "Page Not Found" when this comparison was checked on 2026-10-09, so no Jobright price is given here.
Jobright's refund and cancellation policy, last updated July 29, 2026, lets a first-time subscriber ask for a full refund within 7 calendar days of the first charge on monthly, quarterly and 6-month plans, and within 24 hours on weekly plans, with limits such as substantial use of Turbo benefits. Purchases through an app store follow that store's process. Among the requests Jobright says are generally not refunded is one "based only on not receiving interviews, callbacks, offers, or another particular job-search outcome".
CoolMind uses one credit for each application the employer confirms, on its confirmation page or in a confirmation email. An application that fails, is never sent, or that you stop uses none. Credits come in one-time packs, with no subscription and no automatic renewal, and are valid for 180 days from when you get them. Credits aren't refunded, whether bought or free. If you're not satisfied, or think you were charged in error, write to [email protected]: CoolMind looks at each case itself, and where the law gives you a right to a refund, honors it. Packs, prices and the full terms are on Pricing. During the beta, buying credits may not be open yet.
In short: a subscription charges by the period, however many applications you send in it. CoolMind charges by the confirmed application, so a week in which nothing goes through uses no credits, though credits are paid for in advance, aren't refunded, and unused ones do expire.
What you can check afterwards
Jobright's AI Agent page says "every submission is tracked for you". With the autofill extension you submit yourself, so you see the employer's confirmation page, and any confirmation email goes to your inbox. We found no mention of confirmation-page screenshots or recordings on the Jobright pages we read on 2026-10-09. That does not prove there are none, so ask Jobright if it matters to you.
At CoolMind, an application counts as sent only when the employer's page confirms it, or the employer emails a confirmation. Anything else counts as not sent and uses no credit. Each sent application gets an Application receipt with:
- the company, the role and the time it was sent;
- how we know it went in: the words on the employer's page; a separate check of the page after submitting (not the one that filled in the form), which counts only when it quotes words actually on the page; or a confirmation email from the employer, at your CoolMind address, or your Gmail if you connected it;
- links to the confirmation page and the original posting;
- by default, a screenshot of the confirmation page and a recording of the whole application;
- What we wrote for you: each free-text answer and any cover letter, exactly as sent.
The screenshot, the written answers and the recording are kept for a limited time, given on How CoolMind works and in the privacy policy. The receipt stays in your application history until you delete your account.
Résumés, visas and the rest
Jobright offers several things CoolMind does not, as listed on 2026-10-09:
- Tailored résumés. "Tailor Your Resume For Each Job With AI" (autofill page).
- Referrals. "Insider Connections", to "find alumni and connect with hiring managers directly" (Jobright homepage).
- A career coach chat. A "24/7 AI Career Copilot" (homepage).
- Sponsorship research. H1B job lists with "insights on company sponsorships" (Jobright H1B jobs page).
What CoolMind does differently:
- Your résumé, unchanged. Employers get the file you uploaded; CoolMind does not rewrite or tailor it. A résumé pasted as text goes out as a PDF made from that text.
- No made-up facts about you. CoolMind never states an employer, title, degree, date or number that your résumé and profile don't give. It does write some things: a few sentences for questions such as "Why do you want to work here?", drawn from your résumé and the job description, and, where a form has a cover-letter field, a short letter. Each is under What we wrote for you. When a form requires something your profile lacks, such as a GPA, that application stops, uses no credit, and your dashboard says what's missing.
- Scored before it's sent. Jobright's autofill page offers a match score for each application. CoolMind scores each job against your résumé, profile and preferences, with written reasons, and on Full auto only jobs at or above the minimum match score you choose go out.
- Sponsorship, answered from your answer. You say once whether you need sponsorship, and forms are answered from that. CoolMind does not look up employers' sponsorship history. Some postings whose text says there is no sponsorship or that you must be a US citizen, or mentions a security clearance, are set aside for people who need sponsorship, with the reason "The posting says it won't sponsor a visa, and you need one". Wording varies, so read each posting yourself too.
- Set up in Chinese. The interface is in Chinese or English, and the assistant asks, one question at a time, for what your résumé left out. Everything sent to employers is in English.
Which fits you
Jobright may suit you better if you want to read every form and press submit yourself, want a résumé tailored to each job or help finding referrals, or want H1B job lists with information on companies' sponsorship.
CoolMind may suit you better if you want applications filled in and submitted on employers' own sites for you, with the choice of approving each one first; would rather be charged per application the employer confirms than by subscription; want a receipt for each application; or would like to set things up in Chinese while applications go out in English.
Want to see which jobs CoolMind would pick for you? Start with your résumé: upload it and set your preferences. During the beta, applications may go out only for invited accounts; what's open now, and the daily limits, are on How CoolMind works.
